Hourly & fixed-fee financial advice
Pay only for the advice you actually use. UK financial planning with genuine US/UK cross-border expertise — for US citizens living in the UK, UK residents with US assets.
Offering flexible pricing within a regulated industry
Fixed fees provide you with flexibility without commitments.
Priced by the work, not your balance
A fixed or hourly fee reflects the advice you receive. Two people will have different needs and so flexible options for advice allows us to cover more clients to meet their needs.
Layered costs are easy to miss
Adviser, platform, fund and any discretionary-management charges can stack up — and because they are taken from your investments rather than paid out of pocket, they are easy to overlook.
The way you pay other professionals
You pay a solicitor or an accountant a fixed or hourly fee for a defined piece of work. Financial advice can work the same way.
Advice when you need it
Somme people and families need advice at specific moments — a decision, a move, a review — rather than a permanent arrangement. Our model is built for that.
The Wealth Hub allows for circumstances to be updated as life is a movie not a photo so things can be updated and amended to cover the journey.
How it works
Pay for membership, then add adviser time as needed
Edale combines a client portal you can use year-round with pay-as-you-go access to a real, FCA-regulated adviser. This complements our ongoing advisory services at edale.co.
Hourly & fixed fees
A clear fee for a defined piece of work, agreed before you commit. You always know what you are paying for.
Advice on demand
Pre-paid session credits let you book time with your adviser when you need it — one decision at a time, with no minimum term or tie-in.
Nothing hidden and when you need it
No ongoing fees beyond annual membership. Discount on bundled hours that are available for 1 years from purchase.
Membership gives you the portal and tools; session credits cover adviser time. See the pricing page for current fees. Fees may be subject to VAT depending on the nature of the work; we confirm the position before you commit.
Who we help
Built for people left out by the existing industry business models
The confident DIY investor
You run a low-cost portfolio yourself and want a paid second opinion, a drawdown plan, or a sense-check — not someone to take it over.
Reviewing an ongoing % arrangement
You already pay an ongoing percentage and want to understand what you get for it — and whether one-off advice would suit you better.
A US citizen or dual national in the UK
You are a US person living in the UK and need advice that works on both sides of the Atlantic — from a firm that will actually take you on.
A UK resident with US ties
You hold US assets, have inherited a US account, or are moving between the US and UK, and want the whole picture joined up in one plan.
US–UK cross-border
Advice that speaks both systems
Most UK advisers don’t handle US tax; most US advisers don’t handle ISAs and SIPPs. Cross-border planning is one of the things Edale is built to do — so you aren’t left bouncing between a US tax preparer and a UK adviser who each see only half of it.
We take US persons
Many UK advisers decline US citizens. We welcome US persons and cross-border households, with the brokerage set-up (via Interactive Brokers) to work with them.
PFIC-aware investing
UK funds, ETFs and Stocks & Shares ISAs are typically treated as PFICs for US taxpayers. We help structure investments with PFIC rules and US/UK reporting in mind.
UK and US accounts, one plan
ISAs and SIPPs alongside 401(k)s, traditional and Roth IRAs — coordinated with double-tax-treaty treatment and the Foreign Tax Credit.
Reporting kept in view
Planning that stays mindful of FBAR, FATCA and Form 8938 obligations, working alongside your tax preparers rather than in isolation.
Inherited US assets
Inherited an IRA, 401(k), brokerage account or US property as a UK resident? We coordinate the US treatment (withholding, W-8BEN/ITIN, treaty relief) with UK tax and the 2025 inheritance-tax changes.
Brokerage migration
US brokerage account closed or restricted after you moved? We advise on moving to a suitable home, including Interactive Brokers via Edale, mindful of avoiding an unnecessary taxable event.
We provide regulated financial planning, coordinated with your US and UK tax advisers. We do not prepare or file US or UK tax returns, and the cross-border information on this page is general information, not personal tax advice.
